From the temple of Apollo to Piazza Archimede, walking through the streets of the historic centre and discovering wonderful details carved into the stone of a shelf or an entrance portal, one has the feeling of telling the stories of local tradition and of the myths and legends that have made Ortigia famous in the world.

Once in Piazza Duomo, you can visit the magnificent Cathedral of Syracuse, the millenary seat of the divine, which incorporates the ancient Doric temple dedicated to Athena.

The historical dimension in its most complete expression: fascinating residences with period furnishings and frescoed vaults give rise to a little-known jewel that represents the identity of the city.

At the end of the tour, at the Arethusa spring you can hear the famous myth of Arethusa and Alpheus while your gaze extends to the tip of Ortigia, dominated by the mass of Castello Maniace which is reflected on the waters of Porto Piccolo.
