Bar Vitelli in Savoca was the protagonist of one of the key scenes of the film, the meeting between Michael Corleone and the owner of the bar, Mr. Vitelli. Here the gangster shows interest in Vitelli’s daughter, Apollonia, and in her father’s refusal to marry her, suggests that a married daughter is better than a fatherless daughter.
A stop here is a must, to sit in Al Pacino’s chair and enjoy a Sicilian granita.
