Easter in Rome

Enjoy the warm wheater in the gorgeous garden of Donna Camilla Savelli

Spring, when the days are longer and milder, is the most beautiful time to visit Rome. At Donna Camilla Savelli, a charming residence set inside a seventeenth century convent, celebrate Easter with brunch in the Italian garden. Then take a stroll to nearby Gianicolo to admire views of the Eternal City at sunset.

What is included in the offer

An Oasis of Silence

A restful silence reigns over the spaces of the seventeenth century convent, particularly in the new wing housing the Superior Rooms. Furnished in contemporary style, they feature warm tones, brocade fabrics and four poster beds.

Brunch in the garden

At Donna Camilla Savelli, Easter lunch is laid out, brunch style, in the inner garden. On the menu are traditional flavours revisited with a modern twist, with antipasti based on chicory, artichokes and pecorino cheese, and a classic main dish of lamb, followed by ‘pastiera’ tart with vanilla sauce.

A sweet breakfast

Breakfast is also served in the garden. This is a time for relaxing and savouring traditional pastries of the Lazio region, from ‘maritozzi con la panna’ (cream buns), to ‘ciambelline al vino’ (wine biscuits), and ‘Pancristiano’. The latter goes back to mediaeval times and was offered to pilgrims arriving at the monastery.
