Discover the art of glass in Murano

Murano

The tour starts at the luxurious Ca’ di Dio hotel. From here, guests will be taken by water taxi to the vibrant waterways of Murano, known worldwide for its glassblowing heritage. For over 1500 years, Murano has been celebrated for its glass blowing artistry. Beauty and craftsmanship are forged in these furnaces, where glass objects are made and sold all over the world.

Glass blowing is beautiful and fascinating to behold. But it’s also a very difficult and potentially dangerous activity. This is why the legendary furnaces were moved to the island of Murano in 1295. The move was intended not only to avoid dangerous fires, but also to protect the secrets of the master glassmakers’ time-honoured craft.

You’ll stroll past gorgeous, pastel-coloured houses and historic craftsmen’s furnaces until you reach the world-renowned LP Glass Factory.
